Todd and team did a phenomenal job on a dream renovation. They incorporated my ideas and revitalized and restored my house. It's unrecognizable. I couldn't be happier. It was a massive undertaking and the result demonstrates their talent, creativity and craftsmanship. If I could give 6 stars I would.

A big home renovation is an inherently stressful undertaking -- particularly for those of us who do it for the first (and, god willing, last) time. Our family bought an old home in a historic Baltimore neighborhood with the understanding that we'd have to take on some big renovations. When we met Todd at One Source we knew this was the company for us. In fact (perhaps to our folly) we never even got competing bids. Now that everything is done, I can say with confidence that we did not regret our decision.

I can't say if One Source is necessarily the cheapest company, but I can certainly say that they work with great integrity. Most importantly to me: they have an incredible respect for the historic character of old homes. They want the job done right. And as someone once remarked to me, better to pay once up front than many times throughout the years to fix what wasn't done right or well.

All this said, I don't want to give the wrong impression: One Source was certainly willing to work on areas where costs can be cut when necessary. They walked us through various options with patience.

The entire team is of the utmost competence. They got all the necessary paperwork done. They kept us on track throughout the process, and we ended with almost no delay over the promised date. Their employees are superb, and they work with top-notch artisans and trades. In every respect the result exceeded our expectations.

Also they are all very nice. And very understanding with how challenging and stressful an experience it can all be for their clients. I only hope for their sake that most of their clients are easier to deal with than we were.

Most of all, now that the job is done, we cannot be happier with the outcome. It was precisely what we'd hoped. A beautiful old house that maintains its historical character while benefiting from more modern updates that will make it our family's home for the next generation. We are very grateful to Todd and all his crew and will think of them often.

I had a tricky renovation of an old Baltimore Row House that become more and more complicated as the old layers were peeled away. One Source did a truly amazing job of making the traditional and gorgeous aspects of the original house shine, while modernizing the rest in a seamless fashion for a spectacular result. They kept me updated along the entire journey as new challenges in the old structure, wiring etc. were uncovered and helped me understand how to make the best choices for my budget and the house. We highly recommend Todd and his team at One Source Contracting (OSC). We engaged OSC to restore a 200-year-old hewn log house, deconstruct its previous additions and replace them with a newly designed addition that was better integrated with the log house. The project was ambitious. It was structurally complicated and riddled with unknown challenges associated with integrating a new structure and contemporary systems into an unusual historic structure. We engaged Todd based on his personal enthusiasm for the project, his outstanding google reviews, and his reputation for historic restoration as evidenced by the gallery of photos on the OSC website. * The quality of OSC’s craftsmanship is superb – including both structural and finishing carpentry. For our project the team learned to restore chinking on the log house. The exterior window trim was hand cut from old growth timber. The interior trim was custom designed and cut to integrate with log house aesthetic. Every detail of our home was executed flawlessly.
* Todd consistently demonstrated his commitment to do the right thing – for us as clients and for our project. He fostered a candid and trusting relationship. We were comfortable discussing issues, knowing he would respectfully share rational, and would be accountable if his team was at fault. Most importantly and valued were the times Todd pushed back on a misguided decision we were about to make, arguing with conviction for a solution that was more aligned with our vision for the project and our home.
* Todd and his team were thoughtful and creative problem-solvers. The unconventional nature of this project meant there were always unusual problems to solve – sometimes structural, sometimes aesthetic. In addition to his own experience and that of his experienced Project Manager JT, Todd was also willing to engage other experts for counsel on issues that were unique to the project.
* The communication from Todd’s office staff, Ericka in particular, was stellar. Meeting summaries and finishing schedule decisions and rationale were meticulously documented. Email information that passed between OSC and us was timely, comprehensive and constructive. In addition, we were always forewarned about upcoming decisions with ample time to plan, deliberate, or respond.
* Todd has put together a great team. Every person on the management team was friendly, easy to talk to and seemed genuinely invested in our project. We enjoyed our interactions, even when discussing contentious issues. And the construction team took pride in their work and workspace; the site was always spotless. Now that our home is finished, we will miss having the One Source Contracting team in our lives.

We worked with One Source to renovate our master bathroom. the job was a complete rebuild with new tile, fixtures, and plumbing to service a steam shower. Staff was friendly and accommodating and work was completed with little delay. I would absolutely consider working with Todd and team again on future projects.
