Abacus planned, managed, and executed on a large scale condo property construction project for us. At issue was poor workmanship defects in the original installation of the water vapor barrier from the original development, that was allowing water to get into units.The Abacus team was highly engaged and responsive as we worked through the strategy to address the problem prior to them being on site, and this got quite detailed as we investigated the extent of the risk of water with a structural engineer, Abacus and our property mgmt team. At all times Abacus was a partner in answering our questions, investigating options, such as new evolutions in the water vapor barriers, and even removing windows to understand the extend of the flashing needed all prior to even kicking the project off.This partnership continued through the project. The Abacus team are strong communicators, and they worked with us to ease the burden, and demonstrated flexibility when working with individual unit owners.Abacus also was sensitive to our budget mgmt. As a condo board we were committed to keeping the project within budget. Abacus respected this, and worked with us, to enable us to understand change orders, and prioritize work / expense. In the end we stayed within budget, and the work effort was fully completed to our satisfaction. (Meaning nothing material had to be traded off.)I highly recommend Abacus as a partner in home construction projects.
