Solid Solutions did a phenomenal job with the renovation of our basement and bathroom. From our first meeting right through until completion, the process was smooth. We were given a detailed schedule that they stuck too and appreciated a lot of open communication with frequent check ins. They were mindful that we had a one year old and did a thorough clean up at the end of each day. Tyson was onsite almost every day and was a pleasure to work with. Overall we are very impressed and would absolutely recommend them for your renovation needs!

The quality was top notch and staff are incredible communicators (shoutout to Tyson our site supervisor and Louis!) and the design process with Emera was seamless. Honestly one of the most incredible things was that they kept their schedule *to the day*, finishing exactly as planned, I believe this is due to their communication skills, back end management team (thanks Brett!), and relationships with their suppliers. Curtis Billsten was a pleasure to work with throughout the entire process from the initial site visit to final walkthrough, and I absolutely can't say enough great things about Trace Mclellan-Eeles who managed our project on site.
These guys provided a schedule at the start of the project and stuck to that schedule down to the day throughout the entire project. The workmanship from their entire team and Trace's incredible attention to detail gave us so much confidence knowing that the job was being be done right.

I hired Solid Solutions to perform a major renovation at our home in NW Calgary. We expanded our master bathroom over our open foyer, moved the laundry upstairs, renovated the old laundry area, and finished out a his and her closet. They hired the structural Engineer who designed the structural elements and the addition of additional tele-posts in the basement to carry the additional loads.
The design process and estimate review was very thorough and well explained.
The work started right on time, and was completed per schedule. Trades even came in on weekends to ensure the job was completed on time.
Solid Solutions staff and trades were clean and very professional.

What an amazing company. We had always hummed and hawed about doing basement renovations but didn't think we'd be doing them for another 5-10 years. When our basement took on water damage that turned out to be WAY worse than we initially thought, we figured now was the time. We met with Andrew and Brett and they listened to what we had in mind. We also had some areas where we didn't know what we wanted but they walked us through the whole process and had some great design ideas. Throughout the process, we were able to narrow down all our choices and meet with the respective local companies Andrew sent us to in order to figure out the specifics of things like cabinets, flooring, and counter tops. Every company we went to had nothing but good things to say about the Solid Solutions team. They came to us with a fair estimate and contract as well as a schedule. I had heard nothing but renovation horror stories up to this point so I was expecting things to go over budget and extend past deadlines. I had expected to need to deal with trades individually and micro manage issues. I am ecstatic to say Solid Solutions delivered our basement renovation ON TIME and pretty much on the estimated cost. All the work carried out was professional, courteous, and prompt. They were approachable and I never felt stupid about asking questions. Communication was prompt. For a vast majority of the work done that was within control of the Solid Solutions team, everything was great. They came by for touch ups a few weeks afterwards which gave us a chance to live in the space a bit and figure out if there were any problems. They don't stop until everything is absolutely perfect. I never felt like we weren't being taken care of throughout the entire process. We are pretty much all settled back into our basement after not having it for 6 months and love it better than ever.
