We worked with Chi Renovation to completely transform our dark and dated kitchen, and the result is beyond what we imagined. Even though we didn't add any square footage, the space now feels brighter, lighter, and so much bigger.Julie was our designer, and from the very beginning, she truly listened to what we wanted while bringing fresh ideas and creative solutions to the table. She helped us think differently about the space and brought our vision to life in a way that feels both beautiful and functional.Daniel, our project manager, was an excellent communicator--always responsive, organized, and ready with answers to any questions that came up. Everyone who came through our home, from the electricians and plumbers to the cabinetry and flooring teams, was professional, respectful, and careful to keep things neat each day, which made living through a renovation much easier. Our new kitchen has truly become the heart of our home, and we couldn't be happier. We're so grateful to the entire team and look forward to enjoying this space for many years to come.
I hired Chi Renovation & Design to transform our dated, inefficient, and wonky kitchen into a space that was highly functional, easy to use, and beautiful. The original space was a kitchen and bedroom with the separating wall removed, leaving a large, empty space with two different floors and lots of potential.First, we worked with designer Julie on the layout and functionality; the must-haves and desires, fixtures and finishes. She was very experienced and professional, guiding us and doing the hard parts but also letting us get creative. This was our first large home renovation project and while the process was new to us, they explained everything well and set our expectations. I wanted a specific green tile for the backsplash and they were able to deliver it within a cohesive design that elevated the entire space. As the work started, Ron the project manager was informative, professional, and communicative. We were usually aware when and who would be coming that day, what they'd be working on. He was easy to contact, replied quickly and came up with solutions as problems arose, which definitely happened as it does with any project. We were in experienced and very capable hands. Most of the problems were out of anyone's control, handled promptly regardless, and probably commonplace for construction projects. In one instance, a crew didn't secure the partition and our first floor was covered in dust. Chi Renovation reimbursed us for the cleaning. Some things were removed unnecessarily, and we experienced issues with quality from manufacturers on some fixtures and cabinets. Ron tackled these issues as they came up. Communication trailed off towards the end of the project, which could have been wrapped up more efficiently.Overall, we're very happy with our kitchen and the work Julie and Ron from Chi Renovation completed. They definitely delivered and didn't disappoint. It's a dream to have such a luxurious, functional, and welcoming space in our home.
I worked with Chi Renovation & Design to completely renovate my master bathroom from soup to nuts. As someone with not much experience in home projects or interior design, it was important for me to find a full scope service that wouldn't just handle the labor aspect of the project but also provide expert advice to make sure I was making the right choices for my space. Chi Renovation made the process very easy from start to finish by starting with a design consultation where Julie listened to my design ideas and pulled together a design board so we could see a 3D rendering of what the finished product would look like. From there, we made some changes to make the project fit inside my budget without losing much of the aesthetic I was going for and finalized the materials order. I then worked with the project manager, Ron, who handled the actual execution of the project from start to finish. Ron, with a little (but not much) pushing from my end, let us know what was going to happen every step of the way and was very responsive. We incurred some damage to my downstairs neighbors' bathroom ceiling during the initial demolition and Ron made sure to have the team take care of the repairs no questions asked which really alleviated a lot of the stress that comes with having a remodel done in a multi-unit building and having to keep the neighbors happy. The team also did a final detailed inspection once the project was finished just to ensure that any elements that were out of place or needed touch ups were identified. I am overall extremely happy with the finished project and would recommend this company to anyone who not only is wanting to do a flip for potential resale but others who really want to impart their own taste and sense of style into their home.
After living in our Uptown condo for 5 years, and being forced to stare at the same construction grade finishes in our bathrooms during this pandemic, my husband and I decided we needed an upgrade. We did extensive research and after several quotes from a variety of firms, Chi was the winner. Julie and Gene were dreams to work with. All we knew going into it was that we wanted a spa like but masculine bathroom, but the designs Julie created for us were beyond anything we had ever imagined. This was one of the main reasons we went with an all-in-one firm. While our design aesthetic is good, we really wanted something that made visitors know that a professional was involved. Julie and Gene listened to all of our requests, helped us trim costs where possible, and also helped us push ourselves out of our comfort zone. The results were better than we could ever have hoped. Not to mention the quality of the work, Marek's attention to detail was spectacular. Ever finish was perfectly placed down to the smallest tile and run of trim. Can't wait to work with Chi Reno for our next project!
From the moment we called Chi Renovation was very professional and accommodating. Lior was our project manager and he worked with us and provided us with many great suggestions as far as where to find finished product and giving us input on design ideas. The crew assigned to our project was first rate. Clean, friendly and always consulting us when there was a question and never getting upset with our many questions and mid project changes. The tile work was perfect! They were a delight and would request them again when we do our other bathrooms. Our only issue was with the installer of our Glass shower door. He was the very last item to finish and he was rather careless and indifferent as to where he was putting his tools and managed to scratch our new sink counter top quite a bit. I mentioned/showed it to Lior and he stated it was unacceptable. in the future I would request another installer for any shower doors we have installed. The end result exceeded our wildest expectations. We look forward to working with Chi Renovation and Design again in the very near future.
