Bear State Construction Company remodeled our master bathroom, gutting the entire room, as requested. What was once a dark, boring, and vintage bathroom now has a chic, inviting, and tranquil feel. After initially meeting with Islander, we had absolutely no reservations about his company's ability to make the transformation!From day one, Islander and his entire crew were punctual, professional, and responsive. On a daily basis, the hallway from the entrance of the house to the master bathroom was covered; the bedroom furnishings were covered; and the floors were cleaned at the end of the work day. All material was neatly stored and the outside areas used were also cleaned and washed down! Everything from the framing to tile work to painting and everything in between was well thought out, neatly done, and very professional!Islander was quick to respond to any questions, and he always asked if we had questions for him. He offered suggestions and recommendations without being condescending, and ultimately left final decisions to us. We have nothing but high praises for him and his crew! This is a dependable and honest company that gives attention to detail and to the client's needs and wants! They were never late, and I appreciate that more than most will understand. Each day before they left, they cleaned up and I never had to deal with cleaning up after them.Their communication was very appreciated. Anytime I had a question I received a quick response. First I got a little scare to use this company because I never heard of the company. After talking to 3 different companies. I decided to give Bear State Construction a try because the quotation is more reasonable and also meet all my needs. During the remodeling, Islander (the general contractor) was very nice and patience to explain everything. Their crew cleaned up every single day which include changing all plastic sheets that they put up to block the dust. Every time if I have issue, I just either have to talk to the crew member or Islander, they will have it fixed right the way. Also if I have a little extra to ask for help, Islander is a very flexible contractor. They don’t mind to do a little extra. After the whole project is done, couple days later I have issue of my kitchen faucet and I called Islander. Even though it’s Labor Day weekend, he doesn’t want to wait till Tuesday, he came on Saturday morning to fix the issue which I was very appreciated. Overall I will definitely recommend him to all my friends. They are very easy to work with, their crew members are friendly, plus their job is excellent. Islander has good knowledge about construction works and is a very responsible contractor.
Islander and his entire team did a great job on my 1960's home! They did an amazing job on my bathroom remodels and my kitchen remodel. Islander and his team did an amazing job on the bathroom remodel in our 1940s home. They showed up on time every day, worked the full day, and cleaned up the space each workday so we had minimal disruption to our routine. Our home is a single bathroom house, and they were very mindful in scheduling the installs to make sure we didn’t have to go without the toilet for longer than was absolutely necessary to the job.Islander is communicative and super involved throughout the job, he made recommendations that improved the outcome, and went above and beyond to source a couple things that were hard to find but felt really important to us.We could not be happier with the final product and will absolutely hire them again as we continue to improve our old house.
