We absolutely loved our experience with Scovell this year, completing essentially a whole-house renovation. They reconfigured our kitchen, laundry room, and gave us a mudroom, all without having to add square footage. They did a wonderful job renovating our primary suite and replacing our stairs. And they nailed their estimated timeline right on.Scovell is extremely well-organized and communicative. We never felt like we were missing information, and they let us know well in advance exactly how the whole process would go. Their attention to detail is excellent. All projects have something that doesn't go quite right, and any issues were handled quickly and professionally, to the point we really didn't consider them issues at all. We've never had an experience like that before.From the beginning, Haley understood our style so well that we rarely needed to see more than one or two options (and when we did, she was super patient with us). We looked forward to every meeting we had with the team because they are so friendly and fun. It was almost sad when the project was over, but we're counting down to when we start our next project with them.
What stood out to us most about Scovell was their design process that carefully and thoroughly planned our renovation. Their team of experts worked together from consultation to completion to cover all the details of our project. This makes all the difference. Their architect flushed out floor plans, their designer selected beautiful finishes that made sense for our home and kept our project cohesive, their carpenters matched our original 1920s moldings and doors, and the project manager kept everything on track with the subs and offered a daily point of contact. Scovell was also great with communication. Any time we had a question or concern they were quick to respond and help problem solve. We would absolutely use them again.
I worked with Scovell Remodeling in 2024 on my mid-century home in Mission Hills. I traveled a lot for work at the time, so I needed a team who could really take the wheel and handle the details without me hovering. They did exactly that.The project was definitely an investment, but I’m glad I chose design-build and went ahead with them. The design turned out great, and both my project manager and lead carpenter were fantastic to work with. I also loved that it's a woman-owned business. Kylie was tactful in nudging me out of my comfort zone with some of the riskier design choices Haley proposed, and I'm thrilled with the end product.Would 100% recommend them
