Steve and his crew at Heartland were great. They listened to us. They did as we asked. They did what they said they were going to do. They did it in a timely manner. We were very happy with the final results and even the cost!
I had Heartland Construction remodel my ensuite bathroom in my home and they did an excellent job within the agreed budget. There were a couple of changes/modifications that were required but I was consulted throughout the whole process. Heartland was able to think outside the box and provided excellent quality materials and superior workmanship. Overall, I was extremely please with the final outcome and the time it took to complete the job.
We contracted with Steve at Heartland Renovations to renovate/build a two bedroom unit in our Waterloo rental property back in 2016/2017. Steve is a great guy to work with, fair, very communicative, does what he says he'll do. We had a budget and timeline that were brutal but with Steve's collaborative efforts, it got done. 2 years later, we can attest to his standing behind his work. Steve and his team at Heartland Construction saved the day. We chose another company to renovate a property we own in Cambridge, ON, and had to shift the project to Heartland midway through the renovation.The job ended up being too big for the company we originally went with, they started rushing to get it done and it showed in their work. We were on a tight timeline to get this unit back on the market and it was far from being completed as promised. When we realized what was happening we called Steve and he was there within hours giving us a new quote and a realistic timeline to get the job done.We put a lot on his plate - kitchen, bath, flooring, painting, and many other miscellaneous fixes. We were grateful he understood our specific needs as landlords.We were able to discuss small things with his team to make the place look nice. We are real estate investors and we can not be present at every job that is done on our properties, so having the peace of mind that Steve and his guys are looking after things has made a world of difference in our lives and our future investments. We are grateful to have found him and his team and we will not be going with any other company in Cambridge for our future projects.
We hired Heartland Construction to remove a load bearing wall and install a beam. I've never worked with such a great company for renovations before. Steve always kept us informed as to what was going on and when they would be performing the work. His men always showed up when he said they would. They cleaned up very well too. When the inspector came he was very impressed with their work and stated "these guys always do a great job". He was impressed that they installed the beam flush with the ceiling and said most contractors won't do that because it's too much work, the others will let the beam drop down from the ceiling a bit. Heartland's price was reasonable and their service and work excellent. I would highly recommend them to anyone.
