Romero Remodeling handled a large scope of work for our home renovation in the city and would certainly work with them again and recommend them highly to others with big or small projects to tackle!Their scope included demo and salvage of an existing chimney, a kitchen addition, framing, drywall, and more. All finishes were completed by us as the owners, which is why they’re not pictured.Romero's attention to detail in certain areas was excellent—especially the care taken to fur out and shave down existing studs and joists for level drywall work (see photos). It's not easy to renovate an older home (1880's), but they handled it with grace. Other details, like mortar color and brick-matching, needed a bit more oversight, but the team was receptive to feedback and even re-did some work when needed. Romero subcontracted plumbing, HVAC, and electrical, and we’d advise future clients to make sure all subs are coordinating closely with one another throughout the process.As far as personnel goes - Octavio was always available when we needed him, and Timo was helpful as a project manager. Wilman and Alfredo who were regularly on the job were great communicators and consistently kept us informed as they worked.In summary, Romero Remodeling is one of the hardest-working contractor teams in Pittsburgh. As long as you maintain consistent communication — especially around scope and expectations — you’ll be very pleased with their work.

Romero and his crew did an amazing job on our first floor renovation. The crew showed up every day and worked hard to get our project done on time.We completed changed the kitchen foot print and redid all the floors in the house. Added a powder room and wet bar. Crews were polite and professional and cleaned up at the end of every day to help control the dust. We actually lived on the second floor of the house the entire renovation and it was acceptable. Great done by the team and would highly recommend them to anyone serious about a renovation.

My husband and I were looking for a good contractor for our project for over a year and a half when we finally met Octavio. He came the next day to look at our house and we knew he was our guy. Octavio made suggestions to our plans that were a game changer on day one. We used Romero Remodeling for a complete renovation and rebuild of our 1920s old Pittsburgh house and they transformed the house into a beautiful modern home for our family. We couldn’t be happier. The project was huge (for me) and overwhelming but Octavio and his crew from Romero Remodeling helped every step of the way by answering every call or text, meeting in person anytime I needed them (which was frequently), and helping make decisions with product, layout, design, etc. Romero Remodeling did the demolition of our house, the framing, the steel beam installation, foundation, new walls, new flooring, new ceilings, new drywall, new electrical throughout the whole house, new HVAC unit and ductwork, new whole house plumbing, new kitchen and bathroom installation, incredible tile work, custom closets in each room, built brand new staircase, new deck, new fence, new retaining wall, new pavers, custome built metal gate for our deck, concrete work, installed all new doors and windows and so much more. Romero can do it all! I know in my heart our house would not have turned out as nice as it did if we didn’t use Romero. No one in Pittsburgh is working as hard as these guys!!! We'll start next week."Octavio, Timo, and his crew renovated our first floor kitchen and added a full bathroom. They worked hard every day with efficiency and professionalism. I have to say that I've never had so much fun in a renovation! The Romero crew are kind human beings with amazing skill sets. I make my living as an artist, so I notice the finishes on everything.
