I spoke with their design consultant , Aaliya Karolia, about doing a remodel on my small galley-style Clairemont kitchen. She told me I would be paying for more than I needed and that I’d be better off hiring a contractor on my own. I was disappointed, but appreciated her honesty. She told me I could contact her with any questions I had that she might be able to help me with. I did email her with a simple clarification question the next day. She didn’t reply for about 5 days.Later, the company sent me a text saying that they were offering a $K discount on their design services. I need to respond by February 28. I was out of the country, so I emailed her indicating my interest in taking her up on their offer. She didn’t respond. I re-sent the email a few days later. I have waited until now, the deadline for the offer, and she didn’t respond not acknowledge my communication with her.I find this insulting. My money is just the same as anyone else’s. I’m disappointed in the lack of professionalism. My thought is that unless you have a very high-$$ job for them, they won’t help you.
As a realtor with over 30 years of experience, I found Lars Remodeling & Design’s “Educate Before You Renovate” class very informative and well done. They clearly explained the remodeling process, what to expect, and common pitfalls without any sales pressure. I also appreciated that the class is free, which makes it a great resource for homeowners considering a remodel. Highly recommend attending before starting any renovation.
We attended Lars' Educate Before You Renovate workshop to get a better idea of what a design/build has to offer. I didn't know what to expect, and it was surprisingly informative. No hard sell, actually, not really any sell. Friendly and knowledgeable staff who are specifically the people you'd be working with, and a really nice showroom that reminded me of Pirch. Even Owner/Boss Brandon was on hand, who made some good points about the option to hire a design/build instead of your own architect and GC.We ended up scheduling an in-home design consultation. No charge.I'd recommend it if you're planning a remodel, even if you just have some basic questions.
Lars added a family room to our home last summer, and the entire process was seamless from start to finish. Having previously used a different company for a bathroom remodel, I was aware that not all companies operate the same way. However, Lars exceeded our expectations. Throughout the design phase, they listened to our needs and allowed us to take our time with each adjustment to ensure the room was exactly what we envisioned. The pricing was transparent and helped us stay within our budget while prioritizing our design choices. We appreciated being able to track every aspect of the project through the design app they used, which was incredibly helpful. The standout element of the project was Shane, our Project Manager. He visited our home daily to ensure that every aspect of the construction met the 'Lars Standard'. He kept the project moving on track, and it was finished under the projected time-frame. Shane was never rushed or hurried with us and communicated clearly about what each week would entail and was always just a text or call away whenever we had questions.
I hired Lars do to a complete top-to-bottom home renovation and they did a spectacular job. From the moment I met Lars’ President Brandon Spann I was very impressed by his professionalism and direct, clear communication. The entire Lars team was outstanding. I worked closely with in-house Senior Interior Designer Danni Greenstein putting together a comprehensive design plan, and with Project Manager Paul Harte throughout the entire construction process. Both are top notch professionals. Paul’s right hand man Alfredo was an integral contributor throughout the construction, ensuring everything met my expectations. I am extremely pleased with the result- it’s no surprise Lars continues to be an award-winning leader in the industry. Highly recommend!
