We hired K&S for a small interior project (putting up a new wall and closet in our bedroom). They arranged everything to meet our agreed deadlines easily. We had a minor glitch with the drywall work by their subcontractor, but they sorted it out quickly and smoothly. Very easy and comfortable to deal with. Presented options well and gave good recommendations/advice without imposing. Subcontractors were all friendly and comfortable to have in our home. We would definitely hire them again. 5/5 as far as I’m concerned.
When we first found the house that we wanted to move onto our land, the situation was chaotic and stressful. Steve and his company were the calm amidst the storm. Had a very good experience with this company. Moved into a new place a year ago and spent the winter with leaks and water dripping into the garage. Had several companies come out and was brushed off by most of them, telling me it was condensation or a "one-off". This is not my first home and I have never had this issue in a garage before. Steve and Karder took me seriously and spent the time to find the source of the leak - it was not easy to pinpoint, and they made a number of efforts to locate it and stop it, and then water tested several times to ensure it was truly sealed.As a female, it can be very frustrating to deal with contractors and repairmen as there can be a tendency to brush off, talk-down, or think I can't possibly know what I am talking about. But not these guys - they took me seriously, tried their best to get it all right, and it was incredibly validating when they confirmed that indeed there was a leak that was finally located and sealed, thanks to them. Literal water running inside the rafter! They were never condescending, took my questions seriously, and took the time to follow up on any questions I had in between the work being completed.One other thing that makes this company stand apart was the punctuality and communication. A huge contrast to the number of times in the past when I have had to wait for contractors who no-show or show up hours or days late - not these guys. They were so prompt, the communication was EXCELLENT, and of all the visits they made to my place between inspection and repair they may have run late maybe once - 15 mins or so - and I promptly received a text to say so. In fact, they often turned up a bit early! The clear and thorough communication, promptness, and punctuality stands alone in itself. Karder deserves a huge shoutout for his excellent work in this area.Now that the work has been completed, it is a major relief to go into this winter without the constant stress and worry every time I open my garage door, not having the garage door freezing shut from the moisture, no more moisture and mildew build-up in the walls, and running/dripping water during melting - all of which I had to put up with last winter. And they stand behind their work - they have assured me that if there are any further problems with the work they have done that they will be back.With the current building and real-estate boom, the pathetic construction and slap-jobs in many of the new builds, and the difficulty finding good, solid, quality work, this company was a breath of fresh air. I would not hesitate to recommend them!
What a scam, I don't trust this company at all. These guys decided my entire foundation needed structural work and charged me $350 for the quote. The quote was $70,000, which is absolutely ludicrous - there was a $3,300 charge to move the washer, dryer and water heater 5 feet. $9,000 project management fee. $40,000 structural fix.I hired a structural engineer myself and the structural work will cost $12,000. Hire these guys at your own risk.
