A fabulous and trustworthy company to work with on our bathroom renovation. We had the best experience with Brandon, Mark, and Deanna, and the entire team at Reshape from beginning to end. Communication was clear and collaborative, and the workmanship and attention to detail was second to none. So happy with our new bathroom!
Charged thousands with nothing to show for it.Paid 25% deposit on assurances of a specific timeline, but after we paid, we were waiting on them to have an inspection done, but they made the delays sound like they were our fault. They were not. We had a hard deadline for work to be done & a contract that specified that changes had to be agreed by both parties but they did in fact email us a new likely timeline where the work was going to be done one week here, one week there, a week in February, the rest to follow some time the next month - not at all what we agreed when we paid, the new relayed schedule did more than double the original time of the job.We did not imagine this. The emails exist. Reasonable questions should be allowed & not framed as “suspicion and doubt” with emails saying any more would cause them to “step back” from the project. No way we could sink any more money into a project where we can’t ask questions when timelines get changed so significantly without our agreement. After the contract was frustrated and we offered to pay reasonable costs because we are reasonable, it is not reasonable to create back dated charges for “complimentary services” before any agreement was ever in place. Period. We were charged for every email roughly several of which were before we ever entered into any agreement. So watch out. Any email, can be charged for after the fact.We were charged hundreds for contractor consults and they did not give us any professional, useable stamped, dated, or certified results. Word of mouth results such as “ReShape says that the contractor says” & Reshape says that vendor x says” is not useful. Printed dated, guaranteed pricing is useful & Contractor signed assessments & estimates are useful but those were not supplied to us & that matters.Charged hundreds for “materials sourcing” and nothing to show for it. As in they did not provide us with the vendor issued quotes complete with stock, model numbers, availability, product specifications, 30 days quote guarantees or anything. We need to source materials & we will have to pay a second time for that. That’s what we mean by nothing to show for it.They promised the world - a professional, low stress experience, complimentary services and design, efficient, timely work, changes to be agreed by both parties but everything changed after we paid the deposit. We give specific feedback and they twist it into something it wasn’t. A perfect example is my saying we were charged and we have nothing to show for it. Their response claims we said no work was performed. We did not say that. Read our review. If we had paid contractors ourselves for estimates & inspections & if we had contacted vendors ourselves at least we would have had paper records, quotes good for 30 days, & actual stamped recommendations or findings at the end. Nearly $3500 is a lot of money to be paying with nothing whatsoever to show for it, no contractor certified results, no vendor guaranteed quotes for materials, and no design work, just backdated billing for complimentary emails (many of which were discussions when we were looking for estimates to decide which company to hire) & billing for “services” that left us empty handed. Who pays a second large instalment to a company days after that company just said they may “step back” from the job? 50% of our budget would be tied up if we did and that uncertainty & risk frustrated the contract to the point there was no way forward.Mischaracterizing the issues, misrepresenting our stated concerns and denying what happened doesn’t change it.We did attempt to negotiate a fair exit of the agreement, we were more than reasonable given how much of our limited renovation budget was taken and the way our reasonable questions and concerns were misrepresented. It’s the way they made us feel, the fact that we were billed for complimentary services, the dismissive denial of our experience, especially the outlined schedule changes relayed to us in email, being described as if that didn’t happen that’s the most disappointing.
High-quality workmanship and transparent communications!Reshape was professional and overall great to work with throughout the whole reno process. Would highly recommend!!
It's hard to know where to start when planning a house reno but lucky for me I chose Reshape! I really enjoyed working with Brandon and Mark and their team. I had a vision, and they certainly made it come to life. They provided excellent guidance and a gorgeous result. I'm already imagining my next collaboration with them.
We recently completed our bathroom renovation with Reshape Consulting and could not be happier with the results. From start to finish, the experience was seamless and stress free. One of the standout features of working with Reshape was the complementary interior design service, which proved incredibly helpful when making decisions throughout the process. It gave us confidence in our choices and helped tie everything together beautifully.Brandon and Mark were a pleasure to work with. They bring a calm, professional energy to the job, and their attention to detail was evident every step of the way. They genuinely care about the quality of their work and about keeping the project on track, which we really appreciated. We’re thrilled with our new bathroom and grateful to Reshape for making our first renovation such a positive experience. Highly recommend!
