Level one did a really great job for our townhome renovation! It turned out just like how we envisioned it, and even better in some areas.

We worked with Alex the project manager. He is very experienced. Just in the initial walkthrough he already pointed out several things we hadn’t considered, and some that other contractors missed. That would have resulted in extra cost and time.

With a full Reno project there will always be hiccups and unexpected situations. LevelOne really helped us pull through with all the problems. Very organized, detail-oriented, and always got back to us quickly. I honestly don’t know if we would have even finished the project if not for their help. So huge thanks to Alex and everyone that worked on the project!

On retirement, my wife and I planned to move to BC from Toronto. Before doing so, we wanted to update our 25-year-old Burnaby apartment. Many renovation companies, I discovered, are reluctant to take on condominium projects because of the added complications of dealing with restrictions imposed by strata councils and their building managers. After some consideration we chose Level One for their reputation and experience in dealing with projects such as ours. After discussing our budget, Alex Dumitru, Level One's operations manager, provided us with a timeline and an itemized list detailing the cost of materials and labour. We agreed on a total renovation that included a complete remodelling of two bathrooms and a kitchen. The floor, previously carpeted, was levelled and a floating, engineered-hardwood floor installed. The ceiling was skillfully skim-coated and repainted after removal of its original rough popcorn finish.

Tyler Bouchard of Madeleine Design group, recommended by Alex, was the interior designer. Tyler's relaxed style made collaboration on the apartment's new look both easy and fun. He understands context and has a refined design sense.

The evolving covid-19 pandemic and consequent advisories against travel meant we were unable to personally monitor the renovation process. Despite public-health restrictions on the number of workers allowed on site at any given time, Level One consistently met their deadlines for demolition and construction. At each stage we were provided with photographs of the ongoing work. Required permissions and inspections by city and strata council were secured and all passed without incident.

Nearing completion and our move to BC, the refrigerator and stove we ordered had not yet arrived. A delay due to national and international supply-chain disruptions caused by the pandemic. Ensuring that we could move into our condominium on the set date, the unflappable Alex procured and installed temporary appliances for us. Once ours arrived, the loaned appliances were promptly removed and the permanent appliances installed. When we arrived at our apartment for our first look, we were delighted with the quality of the work. Everything was done according to our agreement and our best expectations. Custom millwork in the bathrooms and kitchen is particularly fine. Minor deficiencies that we identified were repaired without demur by Level One's first rate staff and contractors.

Forgive me for the long review but in my own search for a contractor, I greatly appreciated as much detail as anyone was willing to provide .

We were fortunate enough to sell a gorgeous townhome that had been carefully renovated by Level One Construction. This was without a doubt my favourite renovation I've seen simply due to the level of craftsmanship which is absolutely rare to find these days.

From the moment you enter, the quality finishing and attention to detail is immediately noticeable and makes you feel right at home. During each showing, the feedback was the same from the many visitors who came out just to see this place in person. Everyone commented on the stunning chef's kitchen with fabulous built-ins making great use of the space, even including pull-out pet bowls under the custom cabinetry.

This home was a joy to visit and sell, and the superb renovation made our job that much easier. I would highly recommend Level One Construction and I greatly look forward to working with them again in the future. Thanks for everything!
